General

The Falabella is the smallest breeds of horses in the world and are the only officially recognized pure bred miniature horses.
They originated in South America and only horses coming from the "Establecimientos Falabella" in Argentina may be named "Falabella".
Because of their rarity, the primary reason is to protect and preserve their pure ancestry through dedicated breeding and keeping the bloodlines pure.
Falabella's are rare, in Europe there exists only about 1.000 of these horses and about 4000 all over the world.

Nutrition and accomodation

Falabellas don't require special treatment and are easy to keep.
They just need a sober grazing to avoid the chance of obesity . 90% of their feed contains good hay in winter and grass during the summer.
A little stable and a paddock on sand will be enough to give them some space to move so they don't eat constantly. They rather eat to much than to little.
